Yann M’Vila looks dejected at full time
Everton are reportedly set to attempt to hijack any approach from Sunderland to bring in their former loanee Yann M’Vila – according to a report from Foot Mercato in France.
It is being reported by the publication that Everton are considering swooping for the player, as Sunderland are struggling to reach an agreement with his Russian club Rubin Kazan.
Yann M’Vila
Of course this is not the first time that Everton tried to sign the player.
Rewind to January 2013 and Everton were one of a host of teams hoping to lure the then Rennes midfielder to England.

But, as reported by the BBC, the midfielder shocked Everton and others by deciding to join Russian side Rubin Kazan – a deal that has proved to be detrimental to his career.
The Everton boss then was David Moyes, but it seems that Ronald Koeman is also a keen admirer of the player.
M’Vila had a great season last term. He featured 40 times for Sunderland last season, scoring just once, but helping the club to survive relegation from the Premier League once again.
Maybe this time Everton will finally get their man.
