Reported Everton transfer target Kevin Strootman has reportedly agreed a contract extension at Roma.
Calcio Mercato has reported that three Roma players have all agreed new deals with the Giallorossi. Midfielders Daniele De Rossi, Radja Nainggolan and Strootman have reportedly agreed on new deals and the news will be announced in the weeks to come.
Strootman has struggled with injuries during his time in the Italian capital but the club are still hopeful of him being a stalwart in the first-team for many years to come.

His current deal at Roma expires in 2018 and it is expected this new deal will keep him in the Italian capital until 2021.
Everton are said to be considering Strootman as a long-term replacement for Gareth Barry and Roma are clearly concerned that Premier League football and the potential to work with his countryman Ronald Koeman could be a very tempting situation for Strootman.
This news however suggests that Everton will have to look out for a different option to strengthen their midfield in the long-term, as Strootman looks to repay Roma for standing by him through his injury struggles.
