Everton are reportedly interested in Hull City striker Oscar Estupinan, with the South American only signing for the Championship side last summer from Vitoria Guimaraes.
According to Colombian publication Las2Orillas, Everton are eyeing a move to sign the 26-year-old attacker this January, with Estupinan enjoying a brilliant debut year in England with the forward scoring 11 goals in 23 Championship appearances.
As per the report, Estupinan’s performances have caught the eye of Everton’s scouts, and Frank Lampard could soon make a move to bring the one-time Colombian international to Goodison Park, with the Toffees in desperate need of reinforcement in the attack.
Everton have been one of the lowest-scoring teams in the Premier League this season, and signing an in-forms striker from the Championship in Estupinan could be a great step in the right direction for the Merseyside club, who currently sit in the relegation zone.

Indeed, the jump from the Championship to the Premier League might be a sudden one for Estupinan, especially after just over half a season of football with Hull. However, with 11 goals already this campaign, the 26-year-old could find the transition seamless.
One big stumbling block for Everton, though, will be agreeing a fee with Hull. After all, the Tigers are one of the few second-tier English sides with financially sound owners, meaning that striking a deal to sign Estupinan would come at a big cost that Lampard might not be willing to pay.
Everton should assess other options before moving to sign Estupinan

Time is of the essence for Everton this January, with Lampard likely to feel the pressure of having to complete a signing or two before the closure of the window. Yet in the case of Estupinan, the Toffees would be wise to assess other options before making a move for the striker.
As we know, Hull will rightly demand a big fee for their star striker if Everton make an approach. And with the current market short on good strikers, Lampard might have to leave it until the last minute to sign Estupinan, a transfer that could be 50/50 in the eyes of the supporters.
