Union Berlin attacker Sheraldo Becker has hinted that he could leave the Bundesliga club at the end of the season, with Everton believed to be interested in the 28-year-old winger.

Speaking to De Telegraaf, the Amsterdam-born forward revealed that he would be open to a new challenge in football having established himself as one of the best attackers in Germany this season, with Becker leading Union to a potential UEFA Champions League spot.

Becker has bagged eight goals and seven assists in all competitions this campaign, and this January saw the Suriname international attract major interest from Everton, with Florian Plettenberg reporting that Everton were interested in signing the Union forward.

And now, Becker has admitted that he could leave the German side in the summer, with the winger saying on his future at Union: “My dream would be to take the next step in the Bundesliga or to another big league in Europe. That would be wonderful for me.”

With Becker hinting at a potential departure from Union and even a move to the Premier League, Everton should be on high alert for the Bundesliga forward given just how impressive the versatile attacker has been in both Germany and in Europe this season.

Indeed, if Everton can stay up in the Premier League this season, Becker would be an ideal signing for Sean Dyche and a worthy replacement for Richarlison, a transfer that realistically should have happened in the summer when the Brazilian first left Goodison Park for Tottenham.

Becker might be ready for a Premier League move, but whether or not leaving Union is a good idea is a different question entirely, with the Berlin-based side currently second in the German top-flight and sitting just one point off Bayern Munich in first-place.

Whilst talk of winning the title is still early given how many games are left in the Bundesliga season, Becker leaving a potential Champions League side for one of the Premier League’s worst teams would be questionable, to say the least. And the Suriname forward will have to seriously think about his options come the end of the season.
