Everton are now interested in luring Ryan Kent back to Merseyside in a free transfer from Rangers. But the winger is already in talks to join Burnley and Sheffield United.
That is according to TEAMtalk, which reports that Everton are one of a number of sides with an eye on Kent. The 26-year-old is set to leave Rangers at the end of the campaign with his contract expiring on May 31. Kent has also told Ibrox chiefs that he will not agree new terms.
The attacker is eager to embark on a new challenge after five years in Glasgow. But Kent will not rush a decision over his future amid a lucrative offer to join Super Lig giants Fenerbahce. Talks between the Liverpool product and the Yellow Canaries are also at an advanced stage.

Kent will run the rule over a number of rival offers before deciding on Fenerbahce’s deal. The attacker has also held talks with Burnley and Sheffield United following the two clubs sealing promotion into the Premier League. They ended the Championship term in first and second.
AFC Bournemouth are also looking at reuniting Kent with Dominic Solanke, who is a former teammate from Liverpool. While Leeds United also remain fans of the Oldham-born winger. The Whites tried to sign Kent several times through Marcelo Bielsa’s tenure at Elland Road.

Ryan Kent can secure a free transfer from June 1
Everton, too, have held talks with Kent’s camp over a free transfer from Rangers. Sean Dyche is eager to explore a move for the forward Gers midfielder Nicolas Raskin praised this March.
“I’m enjoying playing with him a lot,” Raskin said, via quotes by Football Scotland. “He’s so good when he’s got the ball at his feet, it’s almost unbelievable and impossible to take the ball off him. It’s hard to play against him in training but it’s very good to play with him.”
A free transfer from Rangers to Everton would be a return to Merseyside for Kent, who left Liverpool in 2019. Steven Gerrard paid the Anfield natives £7.5m to retain the winger after his successful season on loan. Together the Gers also won the Premiership title in 2020/21.
