The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Everton are trying to find the £15 million needed to sign Ndiaye this month.
The Toffees believe that the 22-year-old Senegal international could help them in their quest to survive the drop to the Championship at the end of the season and are willing to cough up to £15 million for him.
Sheffield United are aiming to win promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.
The Blades have been put under a transfer embargo.

The 22-year-old is a very versatile player who can operate as a central striker, out on the wing or in attacking midfield.
