A select round-up of the latest news relating to Everton…

Manolo Gabbiadini

According to a report from Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli and later posted online by Gazzetta Dello Sport, Everton have agreed a deal to sign Manolo Gabbiadini and are only waiting for his current club to sign a replacement before a move is officially announced.

Napoli are said to have agreed to sell the striker to the Toffees, and provided they bring in a new player of their own it should be completed before the deadline later this week.

That will come as welcome news to Everton fans who have seen their star striker Romelu Lukaku struggle for goals in recent times.

Manchester City's Wilfried Bony in action with Southampton's Victor Wanyama

In other news, French newspaper L’Equipe (via Get French Football News) claims Everton have offered around £20million to sign Wilfried Bony this summer.

Considering they had the perfect chance to negotiate with Manchester City when they sold John Stones to the Blues, this is one rumour to be taken with a sizeable pinch of salt, especially if a deal for Gabbiadini is pending.

Southampton's Cuco Martina in action with Manchester City's Raheem Sterling

And finally, a report in the Daily Post claims Everton’s proposed move for Southampton defender Cuco Martina is being held up due to a knee injury suffered by new Saints player Jeremy Pied.

Martina was set for a £2.5million switch to Goodison Park but Southampton’s search for a replacement for Pied is now allegedly holding up the deal with time running out.
