Frank Lampard’s Everton could make a second offer for Aston Villa striker Danny Ings, but the Toffees are facing competition from Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace, according to The Sun.
Everton facing Crystal Palace competition for Aston Villa striker Danny Ings
The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Crystal Palace and Everton both want to sign former Liverpool striker Ings from Premier League rivals Villa in the January transfer window.
The Toffees made an initial offer of a loan deal for the English striker.
Villa turned it down.
Everton could now reportedly make an offer of a permanent deal for the £125,000-a-week (SalarySport) striker.

However, Palace are also keen on the former Burnley striker.
The Eagles could make a loan offer or try to get the 30-year-old on a permanent deal.
Could a transfer happen?
In our view, if Everton and Crystal Palace are keen on signing Danny Ings in the January transfer window, then they have to get a permanent deal done with Aston Villa.
We do not think that Villa will entertain loan offers for the striker.
There is nothing in it for the Villans.
A permanent exit for a good transfer fee could appeal to Villa.
