French outlet, Foot Mercato have reported that Bournemouth have struck an agreement with Lorient over signing Everton-linked star, Dango Ouattara in January.
Only recently, Media Foot had made the encouraging claim from a Toffees perspective that they were working behind-the-scenes to sign the Burkinabe attacker.
However, it seems Bournemouth have beaten Everton to land the highly-rated Dango Ouattara in the January transfer window.
Considering the former is 17th and the latter is 19th in the Premier League table, this is a big blow for Frank Lampard’s side.
In the 2022/2023 season, the Merseyside-based club’s most productive player in the league has been Demarai Gray, with a mere 5 goals and 1 assist.
With both clubs in desperate need of an attacker with end product, Dango Ouattara, who has 6 goals and 6 assists in Ligue 1 for Lorient was understandably a priority addition.
However, it seems as the wonderkid was far more impressed with Gary O’Neill’s project, while the same cannot be said about the Blues for years on end now.
Bournemouth reportedly beat Everton to land Dango Ouattara

According to a new report by Foot Mercato, Bournemouth have beaten Everton to reach an agreement with Lorient over the signing of Dango Ouattara in January.
Furthermore, it has been claimed that the Cherries are set to sign the 20-year-old for a fee of £23.9 million.
It has also been stated that only a ‘few details’ must be ticked off before Bournemouth officially land Everton-linked Dango Ouattara to the Vitality Stadium.
Considering Frank Lampard does not have a genuine creator within his ranks, this is a devastating revelation for him, as it is no secret that his job is on the line.
For Bournemouth, however, it is an ambitious move from the club to beat Everton to sign the talented attacker for what seems to be quite a steep fee for the time being.
