A select round-up of the latest news relating to Everton…

According to HITC sources, Everton have bid £16million for Sunderland centre-back Lamine Kone.
The defender was nothing short of sensational after arriving at the Stadium of Light in the January transfer window and he played a major role in ensuring the Black Cats secured their top flight status for another year.

Sunderland will find it hard to refuse such a substantial offer, although new manager David Moyes may have something to say about it given how quickly Kone settled into English football.
The Daily Mail claims Everton manager Ronald Koeman not only wants to bring in a new centre-back this summer but also an additional goalkeeper and a central midfielder.

The Toffees are reportedly planning a £12.5million move for Stoke City forward Marko Arnautovic after deciding to trigger his release clause but are not planning on stopping there.
That said, an updated report from the same newspaper has recently claimed Arnautovic will opt to remain at the Britannia Stadium and sign a new contract in the process, so this is very much a case of watch this space.
And finally, the Liverpool Echo claims Everton forward Oumar Niasse is ready to accept defeat in his bid to make it at Goodison Park.
The striker only recently arrived on Merseyside yet his stint has been disappointing and he could now be heading for pastures new.
