Everton have been offered the chance to sign Tottenham Hotspur attacker Lucas Moura and they appear to be interested in a January deal.

The Daily Mail report that Spurs have offered Moura to Everton as they seemingly hope to recoup some cash on the Brazilian.

Tottenham paid £25million to sign Moura from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018 but his contract expires at the end of the season.

Spurs don’t seem to be offering Moura a new contract so Everton may be able to secure themselves a bargain this month.

UOL Esporte in Moura’s native Brazil report that Everton have made contact to try and sign Moura.

Sao Paulo want to re-sign Moura but it’s suggested that there are offers on the table in England, Italy, Spain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United States.

Everton need attackers – but Lucas Moura may not be the answer

It’s clear that Everton need impact players in the final third as they battle to stay up.

The Toffees are once again in a relegation battle and summer signings Neal Maupay and Dwight McNeil haven’t impressed.

Frank Lampard needs to find some attacking players who can keep Everton in the Premier League but is Lucas Moura really the one?

Moura, 30, hasn’t even started a Premier League game this season.

The experienced winger has managed just 93 minutes of Premier League action this season, across eight substitute appearances.

Everton need somebody who can hit the ground running but Moura’s difficult season suggests he isn’t really ready for that instant role.

Moura only scored twice in 34 Premier League outings last season too, with the former PSG ace appearing to be a fading force.

Everton need attackers but they can’t get too desperate – and even if Moura is available, maybe Frank Lampard and co should be looking elsewhere.
