Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on Arnaut Danjuma and it looks like there will be a £27million purchase option as part of his loan move.
Everton were seemingly on the verge of signing Danjuma and had a deal all but done over the weekend.
The Toffees then went and sacked Frank Lampard on Monday and Villarreal wide man Danjuma has seemingly had second thoughts.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein now claims that Danjuma is heading for Tottenham Hotspur and will undergo a medical in London today.
Tottenham have swooped in to hijack Everton at the very last minute, with the Toffees no doubt feeling like whatever can go wrong, will go wrong at the moment.

Tottenham may have permanent Danjuma clause
Everton were only signing Danjuma on loan with no permanent clause included in the deal.
Given that Everton’s Premier League status is on the line, it didn’t make sense for anyone involved to engineer a permanent deal.
Tottenham feel differently though and The Times report that Spurs have agreed terms with Villarreal.
The Spanish side wanted £2.5million for the loan deal and then a £27million permanent option – which Tottenham appear to have agreed to in a dramatic move.
Tottenham didn’t just move in to hijack the Everton deal though; it’s claimed that Danjuma was offered to Tottenham on Monday after the sacking of Lampard.
Spurs were more than happy to swoop in and take Danjuma to London, which may well become a permanent move at the end of the season.
Danjuma even underwent a medical with Everton – that’s how close the deal was to being done, but Tottenham have profited from a delay and got their man.
The Dutch winger will now be looking to impress in a second Premier League opportunity having previously struggled to make an impact in the top flight with Bournemouth.
If Danjuma can shine, Spurs may well pay that £27million permanent clause and utilise him for years to come.
