Everton have made a £5million for Rangers and Scotland defender Nathan Patterson, according to The Mirror, and Gers fans on Twitter have laughed off the Toffees’ offer for the 19-year-old.
The defender has made huge strides over the last 18 months, going from an Academy player to a fully-fledged first-team member before representing Scotland at Euro 2020.

Rangers are understood to have rejected the offer from the Premier League side and it is unclear whether Everton will come back in with a fresh bid for Patterson.
The 19-year-old has been earmarked as James Tavernier’s long-term successor and there isn’t likely to be any appetite at Ibrox to allow him to move on any time soon.
Everton view Patterson as a potential challenger to captain Seamus Coleman at right-back but will have to massively increase their offer to have any chance of getting him.
Rangers fans have completely dismissed the bid though and want much, much more to even consider allowing the boyhood Gers fan to move south and join Steven Gerrard’s ex-Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez at Goodison Park.
