Everton right-back Jonjoe Kenny could face fresh competition.

Everton are targeting Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan Bissaka, report The Sun.

This is a move which should give Toffees defender Jonjoe Kenny real reason to worry.

Kenny was a key part of England’s under-20 World Cup winning side in 2017.

He has had an inconsistent run in Everton’s first team ever since Seamus Coleman returned from injury.

Kenny is very much viewed as the future for the Toffees once Coleman is ready to be replaced.

Jonjoe Kenny of Everton warms up prior to the Premier League match between Everton and Watford at Goodison Park on November 5, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

To see Everton pay substantial fee to sign his future England rival Wan Bissaka would be a tough blow.

Kenny, 21, has made four Premier League starts this season for Everton, although he has not featured since October 6.

New manager Marco Silva is not pushing hard to give Kenny opportunities as it is, and reported interest in Wan Bissaka won’t exactly reassure the youngster over his prospects.

If Everton do pay up to bring in the 20-year-old, then Kenny may have to look for a move away himself in order to fulfil his potential.
