Everton have been linked with Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke and Sevilla midfielder Steven Nzonzi.
It has been reported that Everton manager Sam Allardyce wants to sign the former Liverpool striker from Premier League rivals Palace in the January transfer window.
According to the report, Allardyce wants to sign a striker next month and the 27-year-old Belgium international is one of the names on his list.
Benteke scored 15 goals and provided two assists in 36 Premier League appearances for Palace during the 2016-17 campaign.
So far this season, the Belgian striker has scored one goal and provided one assist in 11 league games for the Eagles.
Another player who has been linked with a move to Everton in the January transfer window is Steven Nzonzi.
According to The Daily Star, Everton manager Allardyce wants to sign the 29-year-old defensive midfielder from Spanish club Sevilla in the January transfer window.
The former Sunderland and Palace manager worked with the France international when he was at Blackburn Rovers.
Well-known Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague gave his take on the future of Nzonzi and told Sky Sports last Friday (December 15, 2017): “The situation with Steven N’Zonzi is that Sevilla want to sell him. There was fall-out between Eduardo Berizzo and N’Zonzi, and Berizzo does not want him to return.
“He is not willing to let him return to the line-up – Pizarro is doing well in his position but this is mainly a discipline issue. Sevilla want to sell him, he’s got a buy-out clause of €40m and they will accept between €30m and €35m.
“He’s been seen in London but that’s because his son lives in London, he doesn’t have to go to London to strike a deal with anyone, but it’s understandable why the links with Arsenal have emerged.
“However, I understand Arsenal are not interested as they feel it would add to what they already have. At this moment in time, Sevilla have no received an offer for him.”
