Everton have allowed striker Fraser Hornby to leave the club.

Everton lost striker Bassala Sambou earlier this summer, but they’ve just allowed another young attacker to leave the club.
Sambou made a surprise move to the Eredivisie with Fortuna Sittard, leaving Goodison Park at the end of his contract having failed to step up to the first team.
Now, Everton have allowed fellow striker Fraser Hornby to leave the club, joining Belgian side Kortrijk on loan for the season.
Intriguingly though, Kortrijk claim that Hornby’s loan includes a permanent option, meaning the striker’s long-term future appears to be away from Goodison Park.
Hornby, 19, joined Everton from Northampton Town in 2017, and scored five goals in 16 games for Everton in Premier League 2 last season.
A Scotland Under-21 international, Hornby had been touted for a bright future by Everton coach David Unsworth on the club’s official website just a year ago.
Now, he’s off to Belgium in a surprise move, as even if Everton did let him go, many would have expected him to join a Championship club, but he’s instead testing himself out in Europe, possibly for the long-term given that permanent option.
Hornby has taken to Twitter to post a photo of himself in a Kortrijk shirt for the first time, and is already looking forward to his first game for the club as Everton fans wished him luck in his move.
