Everton will be hoping for good news on Fabian Delph.

Everton picked up their first win of the new season on Saturday afternoon, beating Watford 1-0 at Goodison Park, but it wasn’t all good news.
Bernard’s first half goal was enough for the Toffees to claim all three points, latching onto Lucas Digne’s ball to score the only goal of the game.
However, Digne has given Everton a major scare having picked up a hamstring injury during the game, which prompted Mason Holgate to come on from the bench.
Digne is a major attacking outlet for Everton, and Marco Silva doesn’t appear too concerned just yet, but it emphasises the importance of new signing Fabian Delph.
Delph, 29, has spent the last couple of seasons playing as a left back for Manchester City, meaning he can come straight into that role with ease, rather than push the ageing Leighton Baines in.
Delph wasn’t available against Everton due to an injury of his own, but having been spotted in training ahead of the game, his return will be a welcome one – and not just at left back.

Everton also have problems in Delph’s other position, as Andre Gomes isn’t fully fit and new signing Jean-Philippe Gbamin is struggling to adapt to Premier League action right now.
Having Delph’s ability to play at left back or in midfield will be hugely useful, suddenly making himself very needed at Goodison Park, and the Toffees need him back quickly to ease their woes.
