Everton striker Sandro Ramirez has been quoted by Football Espana as saying that he wanted to leave the Toffees to join Sevilla on a permanent basis, as he remains on loan with the La Liga side.
The 22-year-old moved to Merseyside from Malaga last summer as Ronald Koeman brought the young Spaniard to Goodison Park as a cheap alternative to Romelu Lukaku, who had been sold to Manchester United.
However, Ramirez failed to replicate his La Liga form, scoring just one goal in 15 appearances for the Toffees and Sam Allardyce decided to allow Ramirez to lave the club on loan with Sevilla snapping him up.
Despite Ramirez yet to score in the red and white of Sevilla playing five times, he spoke of his determination to earn a permanent stay at Sevilla beyond the summer.
“I would like to stay next season, this is clear for me,” Sandro said. “This club is competitive and demanding, and I must talk to Everton to inform them of my ideas that I would like to continue here beyond my current loan.”
Everton decided to bring in Cenk Tosun for £27million from Turkish champions Besiktas in January and that pushed Ramirez down the pecking order. However, the Turk has struggled, though he did score against Burnley last time out.
Oumar Niasse and Dom Calvert-Lewin are likely to be preferred to Ramirez and that may see Allardyce sanction the permanent sale of Ramirez at the end of the season.
