Earlier in the week he made headlines as police chased him as he was carted out of the stadium, reportedly suffering from altitude sickness in the 3-0 win against Chile. He was reportedly set to be questioned over failed child support payments.

If he was the zero then he was the hero yesterday. He scored two late goals as Ecuador drew 2-2 with Bolivia in La Paz.
Ecuador trailed Bolivia 2-0 at half-time thanks to a brace from The Strongest midfielder Pablo Escobar.
But Everton’s striker, who joined on loan from West Ham on transfer deadline day, had other plans despite defeat.

He scored in the 47th and 89th minute to secure a point in their World Cup qualifier in the Bolivian capital.
It was also two much needed goals for Valencia – whose recent form has hardly been impressive.

He has not scored a club goal since January and is in desperate need of some form on the domestic front.
Everton fans will hope that this will inspire him to better things at Goodison Park.
