Everton’s won 2-1 against Stoke City yesterday, with Cenk Tosun scoring twice.

Sam Allardyce’s comments about Cenk Tosun struggling in the cold are starting to look foolish, after his passed the test of playing in the snow at Stoke City.
Allardyce constantly overlooked Tosun in his first few weeks at Everton, after arriving from Besiktas in January in a £27 million transfer.
However, the Turkish forward now has four goals in his last three games.
Tosun scored twice, as Everton beat Stoke 2-1 at the Britannia Stadium yesterday.

And Allardyce’s excuse for not picking Tosun, when he suggested that the striker doesn’t perform in the cold, is starting to look weak.
He said to the Metro last month: “It is not unusual to see a centre forward struggle when they first come we have seen many, many over the years do that.
“It will be important for him to train really, really hard particularly when you are walking out and it is chucking it down with rain.
“It is not that he is not used to it but it is freezing cold.”

Tosun could hardly have had tougher conditions to endure than against Stoke, as the snow fell on the Potteries.
The Turkish forward still showed his predatory instincts to score twice from close-range to provide his side with the three points.
Tosun now looks to have nailed down his place up-front for Everton, and could have an important role to play over the rest of the season.
The Toffees’ win at Stoke has finally got them to the 40 point mark and helps establish their position in the top half of the Premier League table.
