Everton winger Kevin Mirallas has blown hot and cold during his time with the club.

Everton winger Kevin Mirallas sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and shared how he needs to become more productive in the final third.

The Belgium international moved to Goodison Park four years ago for a fee believed to be in the region of £6 million, but has failed to fully endear himself to the Toffees faithful, with just as many poor performances as good ones, along with numerous breaches of discipline during his time on Merseyside.

The 29-year-old has made strides this season, however, and has appeared in all of the Blues 10 Premier League outings thus far – which represents a vast improvement on last season, where he played just 23 league games (13 of those as a substitute).

Mirallas spoke to evertonfc.com regarding his form so far this term, and highlighted some key areas where he and his manager feels he needs to improve:

“Personally, I need to create more, score more goals and get more assists. It is not easy and we need the whole team to help each other so we can improve even more. I have spoken to the manager and he has told me I have been playing well but he wants more, and I agreed.”

Mirallas has scored 35 goals for Everton in 147 appearances, and for a player with the talent that he possesses, he really should be looking to improve upon that ratio over the next few seasons.

Next up for the Blues is a trip to London to take on in-form Chelsea tomorrow in the Premier League.
