Everton winger Andros Townsend has vowed to ‘be back’ after his heartbreaking injury blow.
The former Crystal Palace winger has been ruled out for the remainder of the Toffees’ season.
Last weekend, Townsend suffered an injury in an FA Cup defeat at his former club and it has since been confirmed that it’s anterior cruciate ligament problem.

Despite Townsend’s promise to be back, he might not be.
Well, his football career doesn’t appear to be in major jeopardy, but his Everton one.
The 30-year-old could well miss the next 12 months and with his contract at Goodison Park expiring in the summer of 2023, well it’ll be close.
And remember, that’s assuming there’s no setbacks in his recovery period.
If Townsend is fit by next March, that’ll give him less than two months to earn a new contract at Everton.
And considering he’ll be close to turning 32 by the end of next season, well there’s no doubt that his overall career on Merseyside is genuinely in jeopardy on the back of this.
