Toffees striker Ademola Lookman spoke to the club’s official website, and shared how he is beginning to feel like he is more a part of the Everton team, after their recent warm weather training camp in Dubai, admitting that it has taken him a while to adapt to his new surroundings on Merseyside.

The 19-year-old made the move to Goodison Park from Charlton Athletic last month, for a fee believed to be in the region of £10 million, and hit the ground running, opening his account for the Blues in spectacular style on his home debut against Manchester City.

And Lookman sat down for an interview with EvertonFC.com, highlighting how he is working hard every day in training to become more accustomed to the levels he needs to reach, whilst suggesting the squad’s trip to Dubai helped him feel more settled within the group:

“I got to know them and they got to know me. I’ve only just joined in January and I feel like I’m even more part of the team now, which is good. It takes some adapting but I’ve been doing that on the training pitch every single day. I’ve adapted well and with time I’ll adapt even more and become better as a player.”

Ronald Koeman’s men are one of the Premier League’s in-form teams, and currently sit in seventh position in the table, just nine points adrift of fourth placed Arsenal.

If they can continue to churn out victories on a consistent basis, a place inside the Champions League spots might not be completely outside the realms of reality.

And the more playing time Lookman receives during the remainder of Everton’s campaign will surely only serve to aid his development.
