Tottenham Hotspur supporters should be angry, if Everton do beat them to Wilmar Barrios.

According to AS Sport in Argetina, Everton are lining up a move for the Boca Juniors midfielder, who has been linked with Tottenham for over a year now.

Crack Deportivo had even stated that Tottenham were extremely close to signing Barrios back in October, but it seems Everton may beat them to the punch now.

Barrios is said to want a move to Europe, and Everton could provide him with the opportunity to switch to the Premier League.

And if Barrios does arrive at Goodison Park then Spurs supporters should be annoyed, as another player who could help their squad would pass them by.

Tottenham are set to be left short of options in central midfield, with the futures of Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele very uncertain.

And while some of Tottenham’s difficulties in the transfer market are understandable, letting Barrios join Everton for such a cheap fee would be hard to stomach for Spurs fans, if their side didn’t at least make an attempt to get him.
