Everton have already made six signings this summer, but are showing no signs of slowing down.

Everton may have been the most active team in the Premier League so far this summer, but their spending is showing no signs of slowing down.

The Toffees have already brought in six new players this summer, but they have plans for more fresh faces to arrive at Goodison Park.

And Ronald Koeman’s next two targets, could turn Everton into genuine top four contenders.

The Toffees are said to be tracking both Swansea City’s Gylfi Sigurdsson and Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney, with views to do a deal for the pair.

The Times claim Everton are ready to step up their bid for Rooney soon, while the Liverpool Echo suggest Sigurdsson remains Koeman’s top target.

Everton have already done some extremely impressive business this summer, but the arrival of Rooney and Sigurdsson would be the icing on the cake.

And the addition of the experienced Premier League pair would mean that Everton are confirmed as top four contenders this season.

With Rooney and Sigurdsson, Everton would have one of the most fearsome attacking line-ups in the Premier League.

And if Koeman does manage to snap up both of the pair, then Everton would surely have had the most productive transfer window of any side in England this summer.
