Everton appear to have fought off interest in Idrissa Gueye, but Lobotka has remained on their wishlist and the defensive midfielder could enhance Silva’s options.
Lobotka has established himself as one of the best defensive midfielders in La Liga, where his energetic and combative performances have caught the eye.
Everton already have a strong midfield, but Lobotka would give Silva another quality option to pick from.
And if he does arrive at Goodison Park before the end of the month then it should be a welcome signing for Toffees fans.
