Everton have been linked with a move for Kalidou Koulibaly in recent times.
Everton have been linked with a summer move for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly recently (Il Mattino), but doing so would take a change of heart from Farhad Moshiri.
Everton chased Koulibaly last year, but the withdrew from the chase after deeming him to be too expensive.
Napoli were demanding £60 million for the centre-back in 2016, and it is not thought that the Serie A side’s asking price has dropped.

When quoted that figure last year, Moshiri said to the Daily Mirror: “We tried to buy Koulibaly and they wanted £60m. It’s monopoly money, it doesn’t mean anything.”
If Moshiri does sanction a deal for that figure this summer, it will prove that Everton’s owner has had a change of heart.
Everton ended up moving for Ashley Williams from Swansea City, instead of Koulibaly, but the deal hasn’t worked out perfectly.

Although the Toffees have improved defensively this season, they have hardly been rock solid at the back.
Everton have made signing a new centre-back one of their priorities when the transfer window re-opens, and Koulibaly’s arrival would be a real signal of intent.
Koulibaly has made 34 appearances in all competitions or Napoli this season, and has earned a reputation as one of the finest defenders in Italian football.
