Everton have been linked with Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy and West Bromwich Albion defender Craig Dawson.

Everton appear to already be making transfer plans for next summer, but the players that they are being linked with are of differing quality.
The Sun claim that Everton will move for Craig Dawson of West Bromwich Albion in a few months’ time, while the Daily Mirror suggest that the Toffees want Jamie Vardy from Leicester City.
There is little doubting that Vardy would be a great signing for the Toffees.

The England international possesses the exact qualities that Everton have lacked this season, and is a proven scorer in the Premier League.
Vardy would add tenacity, pace and a ruthlessness to Everton’s front line that they have been desperately lacking.
However, the arrival of Dawson would hardly set pulses racing at Goodison Park.
Dawson has been a solid option for West Brom, but hardly the sort of signing which would announce Everton’s ambitions to compete for a European spot.

Dawson has played regularly this season, in an Albion side who are sat at rock bottom of the Premier League table.
And if Dawson was to arrive at Everton, it would be an extremely underwhelming way for the Merseyside outfit to start their summer business.
