Alvaro Morata has reportedly recommended the Everton striker to Chelsea.

Sandro Ramirez of Everton goes down holding his leg during the Premier League match between Chelsea and Everton at Stamford Bridge on August 27, 2017 in London, England.

Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata has urged his manager to sign Everton striker Sandro Ramirez, according to Don Balon.

The report claims Morata recommended his fellow Spaniard as the perfect stand-in for him at Stamford Bridge, although it remains to be seen whether or not Antonio Conte will act on the 25-year-old’s suggestion.

A product of Barcelona’s esteemed La Masia academy, Ramirez has so far failed to replicate form he had been producing for Malaga last season at Everton.

Malaga's forward Sandro Ramirez celebrates after scoring during the Spanish league football match Malaga CF vs Sevilla FC at La Rosaleda stadium in Malaga on May 1, 2017.

And it’s plausible he could be moved on in January, should an acceptable offer come in for the player they signed in a cut-price £5.4 million deal due to a clause in his Malaga contract.

In the event that one does arrive from Chelsea, however, would Everton not be wise to turn the tables, and ask for the Blues’ out-of-favour frontman, Michy Batshuayi, instead?

The £35 million Belgian has started six times in total this season, but has managed an impressive seven goals nevertheless.

And he may well be tempted by the chance to play regularly at a club so desperate for a proper number 9 such as himself.
