The Sevilla hitman would be an excellent addition for Everton.
Everton boss Marco Silva will be desperate to add a proven goalscorer to his ranks at Goodison Park this summer, as he looks to build a squad capable of challenging for the top six next season.
And with this in mind, the Toffees should consider a move for Wissam Ben Yedder, who admitted yesterday that he would be open to leaving Sevilla this summer, as quoted by the Sun:
“It’s good timing, like you say. I really feel that. I can’t lack respect for the club. Whatever the final choice is, I’ll be happy. But I dream of playing at a high level, in the biggest clubs in the world and to be alongside players of international class.”
The 28-year-old was in excellent form in Spain this season, racking up 30 goals and 11 assists in 54 appearances in all competitions.
He is proven at playing at the very highest level for a sustained period of time, and he would undoubtedly help take Everton to another level.
The Frenchman possesses pace in abundance, is an excellent finisher, and has the ability to stretch the opposition’s defence with tireless runs into the channels.
Ben Yedder has a €30 million (£26.5 million) release clause inserted into his current contract with Sevilla, according to a report from Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, and in today’s day and age, that would represent excellent value for money for the Blues.
And Silva must do all he can to bring the red-hot hitman to Goodison Park this summer – it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for Everton.
