Everton should pursue a move for the Lazio ace this month.

Marco Silva the head coach

Everton boss Marco Silva has his work cut-out this season, if he is to guide his side to a top seven finish come May.

One major problem for the Portuguese is a lack of an established out-and-out centre-forward, and he will surely be looking to address that issue during the January transfer window.

With this in mind, the Toffees should consider a move for Lazio hitman Ciro Immobile this month.

The 28-year-old is a proven goalscorer, having bagged 189 goals in 351 career appearances thus far, and he would offer Everton something entirely different to what they currently possess.

Immobile, unlike his name suggests, possesses excellent movement, and always plays off the shoulder of the last defender.

His penetrating runs in behind, combined with his deadly finishing would undoubtedly help the Blues improve upon the potency of their play in the final third.

According to the Mirror, he could be available for around £45 million, and in today’s market, that would be considered as decent value for such a prolific striker.

Immobile is vastly experienced, and has earned 34 caps for the Italian national team. His presence at Everton would surely help bring out the best in the likes of Richarlison and Theo Walcott, and he would be a huge upgrade on Cenk Tosun.

Silva should do everything within his power to bring the 28-year-old to Goodison Park this summer, and if he manages to do just that, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for Everton.
