Stats show the Toffees forward was isolated against Liverpool and fared badly. Marco Silva should address this in the January transfer window.

Richarlison has largely enjoyed a bright start to his time at Everton.
Since arriving at Goodison Park from Watford earlier this summer, the Brazil international has done well with six goals in 12 Premier League games (Transfermarkt).
He got off to a flyer with a brace against Wolves in the season opener and was also especially impressive in his two-goal display against Brighton in November.
However, Richarlison almost seemed a shadow of his former self in Sunday’s derby against Liverpool, which the Reds won 1-0 deep in stoppage time.
Despite the two teams being mostly toe to toe, stats courtesy of Whoscored show the 21-year-old only had one shot throughout the whole game.
Perhaps more worryingly, Richarlison didn’t make a single successful dribble or key pass as Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez successfully kept him at bay.

The fault here lies largely with manager Marco Silva, who opted for the Brazilian as his lone forward against the Reds and, as a result, wasted one of his most creative outlets.
With Cenk Tosun out of form and overlooked by his manager for the derby, Everton would probably be wise to seek out a natural number 9 in January.
An out-and-out striker who can feed off the deliveries from the likes of Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson would most likely be more effective in big games against world-class defenders.
