The Palermo forward could be just what Everton need next season and beyond.

According to a report from Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo, Everton are the English club with the most interest in Palermo forward Ilija Nestorovski, and if the 27-year-old did arrive at Goodison Park this summer it could rectify the mistake the Toffees made not going all out for Manolo Gabbiadini.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Everton were very keen on bringing the then-Napoli striker to England only to walk away from negotiations, allowing Southampton to ultimately swoop in.
Gabbiadini wasted little time showing what he can do, leaving Everton fans to wonder what might have been. But this summer there could be the chance for Koeman to sign another Serie A striker who could be just as effective for the Toffees in the form of Nestorovski.
The Macedonia international has scored 10 goals for Palermo this season, and any doubts about his one-in-three return should be weighed alongside Gabbiadini’s own struggles prior to his move to St Mary’s.
Nestorovski has been playing in a faltering side this season and he would surely improve on that rate if he signed for Everton.
The fact that he has 86 club goals in 194 career appearances speaks volumes and it will be interesting to see if Everton get their man, adding much needed additional fire-power to their squad in the process.
