Everton are keen to add goals to their squad this summer and they have been linked with Moise Kean and Diego Costa.
Whilst nothing concrete has come out of Everton’s search for a striker this summer, they have been linked with a number of interesting players.
From Juventus’ highly-rated forward Moise Kean to the in-your-face aggressor Diego Costa, who has Premier League medals to his name.
The Daily Mail have recently claimed that Everton could sign Kean from the Italian club, whilst the Mail also report that they are interested in Atletico Madrid’s hitman Costa.
Both would be solid purchases for the Merseyside club, but the obvious option is staring them in the face and Everton shouldn’t hesitate in trying to sign Kean.
Whilst Costa would add serious quality to Marco Silva’s front line, and he would ruffle up people the long way, Kean is just the better all-round option and long-term option. Not only that he is the more realistic signing.
Added with that, given Costa’s tendency to lose his head at any moment, the Brazilian-born striker could cost his team at any moment and given his personality, if he doesn’t like things, you’ll know about it.
With Kean, it is seemingly different, as his performances on the pitch would do more of the talking, not only that the 19-year-old has years and years ahead of him.
Plus with Kean, if he were to go on and perform for Everton, then later down the line they would be able to sell him for some serious dosh – that simply wouldn’t be available for 30-year-old Costa.
During their careers so far, Costa has netted an incredible 174 career goals [transfermarkt], whilst Kean’s engine has just started as he is on 24 senior career goals [transfermarkt].
