It does not look like Everton target Olivier Giroud is leaving Arsenal.
It was reported by The Mirror four days ago that Everton boss Ronald Koeman wanted an answer from Olivier Giroud over a potential £25 million switch to Goodison Park.
The same report claimed that the Arsenal striker – rated at £25 million – is Koeman’s number one transfer target, but it might be time for the Dutch manager to explore other avenues.
That is because, according to Foot Mercato, the 30-year-old hitman is willing to stay in North London and challenge Alexandre Lacazette for a first-team spot next season.

Everton are already embroiled in a long-running transfer saga with Gylfi Sigurdsson and they don’t need another one with Giroud.
He is certainly a talented centre-forward, having scored 12 Premier League goals in 11 starts last season, but Koeman should take that £25 million and look elsewhere because it doesn’t look like being enough for Giroud, who isn’t worth the stupid money it would seemingly take.
There are plenty of other talented strikers available and pursuing Giroud, at the moment, seems like something of a fool’s errand if it hasn’t happened yet.
Everton’s Premier League season begins in 10 days with a visit of Stoke City.
