Tottenham Hotspur’s Erik Lamela would be a good signing for Everton.

Erik Lamela of Tottenham Hotspur (L) takes part during the Tottenham Hotspur Training Session at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on March 28, 2019 in London, England.

According to The London Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur would sell Erik Lamela in the summer transfer window if they receive a substantial bid, and Everton should make a move.

Lamela, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, has been hot and cold for Tottenham over the years, but the Argentina international has had injury issues.

There is no doubt that the 27-year-old is a very good and creative player, and he would take Everton to the next level – which is to break into the top four of the Premier League.

The former River Plate and AS Roma star has already shown what he is capable of in the Premier League, and playing under an attack-minded manager Marco Silva is only going to bring the best out of him.

True, Everton have some very good attacking players, but Lamela would be an upgrade on Theo Walcott and Ademola Lookman and would complement Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bernard.

It will not be easy for Everton to convince Lamela to move to Goodison Park without Champions League or Europa League football, but the Merseyside outfit should at least try.
