Tottenham’s Danny Rose wants to earn money and Everton should put that to the test.

Danny Rose’s status at Tottenham Hotspur remains a little unclear with the left-back Ben Davies becoming one of the league’s star players this season.
Rose made clear this summer he wanted either a new contract with a big pay rise, or to leave the club.
Big spenders Everton should put that to the test, amid Rose’s comments in August that he plans to ‘return North’ as his next step in his career, having left Leeds United at 16.

Everton need to be looking at a long-term replacement for Leighton Baines, now 32, and England international Rose would be an upgrade.
Rose could have reservations over Everton’s ability to win trophies, but if it is money that Danny Rose wants, Everton could offer it.
The Telegraph reported that Everton offered Romelu Lukaku £140,000 per week earlier this year – which is more than double the £65,000 per week wages The Mirror report Danny Rose earns at Tottenham.

Manchester City and Manchester United could also become contenders for Rose, but if Everton move in first, they could seize the initiative and force Rose into a decision next summer.
It would be a major statement from Everton if they could tempt him away from Tottenham.
It may even be too ambitious, but it is the sort of signing Everton should be attempting to make if they are serious about making a proper leap up the table and challenging the ‘top clubs’ in the Premier League.
