Everton should make a move for Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri in the summer transfer window.
Xherdan Shaqiri’s career has not gone according to plan his since move from FC Basel to Bayern Munich in 2012, but there is no doubt that he is a supremely talented football.
The 25-year-old winger has not been very consistent at Stoke City, but the Switzerland international has shown on more than one occasion what he is capable of in the Premier League.

Signed from Inter Milan in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £12 million, the winger has settled well in the Premier League, and it would make sense for him to move to a bigger and more ambitious club now that he has been at Stoke for two years.
Everton would be wise to make a move for Shaqiri in the summer transfer window. The Toffees will be aiming to break into the top four of the Premier League next season, and a player of the Switzerland international’s quality and calibre in the team would only enhance their chances of achieving that objective.
The Daily Mail has quoted Stoke chairman Peter Coates as saying that there are no plans to sell Shaqiri, but every player has his price. An offer of £15m or £20m could be tempting for the Potters to part company with the winger.
Shaqiri, who earns £65,000 at Stoke according to The Sun, has pace, skills, dribbling qualities and creativity; he would enhance Everton’s quality down the wing and add a different dimension to Ronald Koeman’s attack.
True, consistency is an issue, but Everton manager Koeman would be able to help Shaqiri with that. The Daily Mail claimed of the Toffees’ interest in the winger back in the summer of 2015, and it would be wise of the Merseyside outfit to make a move now that he is more mature and has an understanding of the Premier League.
