Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson would be a good signing for Everton in the summer of 2018.

Everton fans were over the moon when Ashley Williams joined in the summer of 2016, as reported by HITC Sport. The £12 million transfer fee that the Toffees paid to Swansea City, as reported by BBC Sport, was said to be a snip.
Williams did not do badly for Everton last season, but the 33-year-old centre-back’s performances for the Merseyside outfit so far this campaign have been less than impressive.
Given that the Wales international is 33 years of age, Everton will have to look for a replacement soon to pair him with Michael Keane, who joined the club from Burnley in the summer of 2017 for an initial transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £25m.

Pontus Jansson is the defender that Everton should look at. Given that Leeds made his loan deal from Torino permanent only in the summer of 2017, it is very unlikely that they will sell him in the January transfer window.
However, things could change at the end of the 2017-18 season. Would Leeds be able to hold onto the 26-year-old centre-back if they do not get promoted from the Championship?
The Sweden international is one of the best centre-backs in the Championship. Jansson is good in the air, comfortable on the ball, plays with passion, tackles well and is a leader.
An all-round and complete centre-back, Jansson cost Leeds £3.5m, as reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post. The Swede’s value will rise over the course of the season, but Everton should still be able to afford him come next summer.
