Everton were said to be interested in Calum Chambers during the summer transfer window.

With Everton clearly struggling at the back this season, it may be that they need to re-ignite their interest in Arsenal’s Calum Chambers during the January transfer window.
Everton have an urgent need to sign a striker at the next available opportunity, but their lack of options at centre-back is also a concern.
Michael Keane has started slowly at Goodison Park, Ramiro Funes Mori is out injured, Phil Jagielka is past his peak and Ashley Williams has been nothing short of abject so far this season.

Williams and Keane have been Ronald Koeman’s first choice pairing at the back so far this term, but Chambers’ arrival would help to freshen up Everton’s backline.

The England international was one of Middlesbrough’s stars last season, even though he was unable to help them avoid the drop.
And if Everton did sign Chambers, he would surely be a solid option for Koeman’s side.
Chambers is only 22 and still has room to improve, and with Everton’s ageing backline struggling so badly, he could be a great addition for the Toffees in 2018.
