Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech would be a good signing for Everton in the summer transfer window.

Everton are having a good season and could even end up in the top six of the Premier League. Even if the Toffees finish seventh, it should still be considered a successful campaign.

The Merseyside outfit have a good team, but one area that they need to look at strengthening in the summer transfer window is between the posts.

Maarten Stekelenburg and Joel Robles are the two main goalkeepers at Goodison Park, but neither has looked particularly great this season.

Stekelenburg is 34 years of age and is clearly past his prime, while 26-year-old Robles is not the safe pair of hands that Everton need in order to challenge for the Champions League places next season.

Enter Petr Cech.

Cech is 34 years of age, but the Arsenal goalkeeper is going strong as ever. The former Czech Republic international is the first-choice custodian at the Gunners and has a contract until June 2019, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

The North London outfit are not having a good season, and there is a very good chance that they will not finish in the top four of the Premier League.

If the Gunners fail to claim a Champions League place, then Everton should make a move for Cech in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal are a bigger club than Everton and are based in London, but the Toffees could try to convince the former Chelsea goalkeeper to switch to Goodison Park.

Everton are an ambitious club and have great things planned ahead, and Cech could be tempted into making the switch.
