The Real Madrid man is reportedly wanted by Liverpool, but Everton should gatecrash the party.
With Romelu Lukaku’s move from Everton to Manchester United now complete, Ronald Koeman will be desperately searching for a potential replacement, with just over a month remaining until the 2017/18 Premier League campaign kicks off.
With this in mind, the Dutchman should consider swooping in and challenging arch rivals Liverpool for Real Madrid hitman Marco Asensio, with Spanish media outlet Diario Gol claiming that the Reds are lining up a bid for the 21-year-old.

The Spaniard would be a superb signing for the Toffees, should they manage to beat Liverpool, to his signature. He is quick off the mark, lethal when presented with a goalscoring opportunity, and plays with an incredible level of maturity, in spite of his tender years.
Asensio enjoyed a successful campaign for Madrid last term, scoring 10 goals in 36 outings for Zinedine Zidane’s men, with 19 of those coming from the substitutes bench.
He is most effective when operating in and around the penalty box, which would make him the perfect partner for Sandro Ramirez, with the former Malaga man more renowned for making tireless runs into the channels to help create space for his teammates.
The three-capped Spain international is unlikely to receive much game-time at the Bernabeu this season, what with the wealth of world-class talent in forward areas available to Zidane, so a move to Goodison Park could prove to be extremely beneficial for him, especially with the 2018 World Cup in Russia on the horizon.
Asensio is valued at around £40 million by Los Blancos, according to the Daily Star, but that should pose no problem whatsoever for the Blues, who will be heavily armed with cash following the sale of Lukaku.
And if Koeman does manage to bring the 21-year-old to the club this summer, it could prove to be the signing that makes them genuine contenders for the top-four.
