Everton should make a move for AS Monaco star Joao Moutinho in the summer transfer window.
Everton have been quite busy in the summer transfer window so far. The Toffees have secured the services of Davy Klaassen, Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane among others, and one suspects that the Merseyside outfit are not done yet.
One player that Everton should look at is Joao Moutinho. The 30-year-old is one of the best midfielders in Europe, and signing the AS Monaco star would take the Toffees to a whole new level.

The Portugal international is a midfielder with a strong reputation. The 30-year-old also has a winning mentality, having won the Portuguese Primeira Liga title three times and the Europa League once with with FC Porto.
Moutinho played an important role in Monaco winning the Ligue 1 title in 2016-17 as well, and helped Portugal clinch in the 2016 European Championship in France last summer.
Everton have a number of superb midfielders on their books, such as Ross Barkley, Idrissa Gueye and Klaassen, but Moutinho’s experience of turning out for some of the biggest clubs in Europe and his playing style would take the Toffees to the next level.
The Merseyside outfit are aiming to break into the top six of the Premier League next season, and a player of Moutinho’s quality and experience would make them genuine contenders for the Champions League places.
It could be tough for Everton to convince Moutinho to make the switch from Monaco, especially as the Ligue 1 club will play Champions League football next season and won the league title in 2016-17, but the Toffees have money to spend and they should at least make an offer.
