Everton and Tottenham Hotspur both want the Celtic full-back, according to reports.

According to a report from the Liverpool Echo, Tottenham have joined Everton in the race to sign Celtic’s Kieran Tierney, but that could actually work in the Toffees’ favour, with regards to their reported pursuit of Danny Rose.
According to the Sun, Everton hold keen interest in signing the 27-year-old Spurs left-back, and are willing to part with £40 million to acquire his signature this summer.
The Liverpool Echo claim that the Merseyside outfit are also interested in signing Celtic star Kieran Tierney, but they will face competition from Tottenham for the Scot’s signature.

If Everton truly want to sign Rose, though, they should clear the path for Spurs to win the race for Tierney, and thus making their move for the 20-capped England international that little bit more straightforward.
Every Love Island contestant if they were an England player – World Cup!
If the Lilywhites sign the Celtic ace, Rose’s future at White Hart Lane will be plunged even further into doubt, and the door would certainly be left open for the Merseyside outfit to make their move.
The England international is six years older than the Scot, although he is by far the better player at this moment in time, so much will depend on which route Everton want to take.

If they want to lay solid foundations for the future, Tierney would arguably be the better option, but many Blues fans want success now, and expect their club to really push on this season.
And in order to do that, Rose would be by far the better option for the Toffees.
