Everton should have re-located Sunderland defender Brendan Galloway

Everton are said to been offered the chance to rehouse Sunderland during the January transfer window.

According to the Chronicle, Sunderland offered Everton the chance to take Brendan Galloway back during the January transfer window, but they decided against recalling the youngster.

Sunderland felt that Everton may have wanted to relocate Galloway, as he has barely featured this term.

However, the Toffees decided to leave him at the Stadium of Light, and that could harm the youngster’s development.

Galloway has made just two appearances since Chris Coleman took charge at Sunderland, and he appears to have a very limited chance of breaking back into Black Cats’ team.

Quite why Everton felt that leaving Galloway at Sunderland was their best option is hard to fathom, and it feels like they are neglecting one of their young talents.

Galloway has previously shown signs of promise in Everton’s first-team.

And the Toffees should have rehoused the youngster while they had the chance, as Galloway risks not playing any first-team football for the remainder of the season now.
