The striker could be the ideal solution to Everton’s striker issues.

Ever since Everton sold Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United the Toffees have been in desperate need of a new out-and-out goal-scorer.
The return of Wayne Rooney and the signings of Sandro Ramirez and Gylfi Sigurdsson will certainly help in terms of goals, but Everton are still lacking a prolific front-man who can significantly soften the blow of the Belgian’s departure.

Toffees boss Ronald Koeman understands the need to look far and wide for potential new recruits and he would be wise to take a close look at Red Star Belgrade forward Richmond Boakye who, at 24, has the potential to impress at Goodison Park.
The Ghana international has racked up his fair share of clubs despite his age, yet he has shone more often than not, scoring 24 goals in just 30 matches for Red Star including nine in 11 outings this season
He previously played for Italian club Sassuolo, for whom he scored 23 times in 68 matches and his habit of finding the net has allegedly piqued the interest of some Premier League clubs.

In an interview with Sportske.net, the player’s agent confirmed there had been interest from England earlier this summer and that a January move was possible.
“I received calls from two Premier League clubs,” Ivica Pavlovic is quoted as saying. “There will be interest from many clubs in the winter.”
It remains to be seen if Everton are one of them, but perhaps they should be, with Boakye possessing the innate talent in front of goal to potentially replace Lukaku and blossom in front of creative catalyst Sigurdsson. His arrival could also ease the pressure on Sandro, who is taking time to settle on Merseyside.
Koeman will have his own targets but, after his agent’s comments, one wonders if Everton are one of the side’s interested in Boakye as he continues to catch the eye.
