The Arsenal-linked Frenchman would be a superb signing for Everton, if Romelu Lukaku leaves this summer.

The future of Romelu Lukaku at Goodison Park remains uncertain, with rumours linking the Toffees striker with an exit from the club refusing to go away.
If, or more likely when, Everton sell the Belgian, they will be heavily armed with a substantial amount of cash, and Ronald Koeman will have to re-invest that money on a new striker, if he harbours genuine ambitions for his side to challenge for the Champions League spots.
With this in mind, the Blues should enter the race to sign Lyon hitman Alexandre Lacazette, who has been heavily linked with a £60 million move to Arsenal (the Telegraph).
The 26-year-old’s recent suggestion that Champions League football will not be a deal-breaker when deciding upon his next destination should give Koeman hope that he could convince him into moving to Merseyside.
Lacazette was sensational for his club last season, scoring 37 goals in 45 outings, and he is now entering the peak years of his career, which could see him reach even higher levels.
The France international has pace in abundance, and is clinical when presented with a goalscoring opportunity. The manner in which he makes runs in behind the opposition defence would enable Everton to stretch the pitch, certainly when they are playing inferior opposition, which would, in turn, give them more space with which to operate in the middle of the park.

And with the likes of Davy Klaassen and Ross Barkley in the side, the Toffees’ output in the final third would surely improve because of this.
One potential area of concern for Everton regarding Lacazette will be the fact that he is totally unproven in the Premier League, and with his slight 5ft 9in frame, he could very well find the adjustment to a more physical league a challenging one to say the least.
His reported value of £60 million represents a fairly large risk, but should the Blues go on to sell Lukaku, as they are very much expected to do so, they will surely recoup well in excess of that amount.
And if Koeman does manage to bring the Lyon hitman to Goodison Park this summer, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance.
