Everton should make a move to sign Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma in the summer.

Everton should consider making a move for Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma in the summer, as they still need defensive additions.

The Toffees have struggled defensively this season, and their addition of Eliaquim Mangala from Manchester City on deadline day looked slightly desperate.

Mangala has endured a miserable time in English football, and the transfer has not worked out.

The French defender put in a series of poor displays before picking up an injury, which is set to keep him out for the campaign.

Mangala surely won’t be returning to Everton on a permanent basis now, and the Merseyside club will need better anyway.

Zouma could fit that criteria, and if Everton paid up, he could be made available.

Zouma has been on loan at Stoke City this season, with Chelsea seemingly feeling they have better options.

However, the 23-year-old has proven that he is very capable at Premier League level and he has an enviable skillset.

Zouma is blessed with pace and power, and his arrival would make Everton’s defence look far more secure.

And Everton should already be making plans to be at the front of the queue for the Chelsea centre-back when the transfer window re-opens.
