The Wolfsburg striker would be an excellent addition for Everton.

Marco Silva the head coach

Everton boss Marco Silva will be desperate to bolster his attacking ranks at Goodison Park this summer, with their need for an established centre-forward plain to see.

And with this in mind, the Toffees should consider a move for Wolfsburg hitman Wout Weghorst, who was in great form in the Bundesliga this season.

The 26-year-old racked up 17 goals and seven assists in 34 Bundesliga appearances, and he would surely be a real asset for Everton.

Weghorst – a three-capped Holland international, stands at 6ft 6in tall, and would provide the Blues with a fantastic focal point from which to build their attacking play through.

Surrounded by wingers like Bernard and Richarlison and a number 10 like Gylfi Sigurdsson, the Wolfsburg ace would surely flourish at Everton.

The Holland international would also provide the Blues with the option of playing more direct, should the situation call for it.

He joined the German club for around €11 million (£10 million) in the summer of 2018, according to Football-Oranje, so the Merseyside outfit would surely need to offer at least double that amount, if they were to tempt Wolfsburg into selling the towering hitman.

Cenk Tosun has proven that he is not good enough to lead the line for Everton on his own, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is still learning.

Weghorst would be the perfect addition for the Toffees this summer, and Silva should do everything within his power to bring the Dutchman to Goodison Park.
