Everton want Iliman Ndiaye but the Sheffield United talent is planning to stay at Bramall Lane at least until the end of the current season.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who claims that ‘starboy’ Ndiaye is attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

Everton are one of they interested parties and ‘proposals could arrive soon’ for Ndiaye ahead of the January transfer deadline.

However, Ndiaye and Sheffield United are happy to stay together right now and only think about a move at the end of the season.

The Blades are gunning for promotion from the Championship and don’t really plan to sell such a key player midway through the campaign.

If Sheffield United do go up, Ndiaye may be even less inclined to leave, so Everton’s pursuit seems destined to fail.

Who is Everton target Iliman Ndiaye?

Ndiaye was born in Rouen in France and was in the ranks of local teams Rouen Sapins and Rouen.

Marseille pounced to sign Ndiaye at the age of just 10, with Ndiaye spending four years in their ranks before heading to Dakar Sacre-Coeur in Senegal.

At 16, Ndiaye headed to England with non-league side Boreham Wood and spent three years there before Sheffield United snapped him up.

That move has proven to be a masterstroke for the Blades, with Ndiaye becoming a first-team star after a loan spell at Hyde United.

Capable of playing up front or as a number 10, Ndiaye has racked up 10 goals and seven assists in 28 Championship games this season.

Ndiaye, 22, has become a Senegal international and played more than 130 minutes at the World Cup in Qatar.

Ndiaye has been backed to become ‘elite’ by Chris Basham and whilst Everton may want him, a move to Goodison Park just isn’t going to happen.
